Description
This Konya of the collection thrives within the styles earthy tones, though it contains very little of the lustrous yellow Konya carpets are known for. Instead, it bears a rich, almost purplish brown that serves as the field for its organized hexagon patterns. Two hexagons are warped, extended to contain eight others, and grant a sense of scale. The Konya carpet was described by Marco Polo as the most beautiful carpet style in the world.
