Description
This Konya large central medallion contains an eight-pointed shape with eight black dots. The red field surrounding the medallion has paled, either by intention or by age, to create a carpet that appears faded and soft. The border is perhaps the most active and interesting part of the weave, containing serrated leaves and petals in many colors so all may leap off of the black background.
